Starting a decluttering business can be a rewarding venture for individuals with a passion for organization and helping others simplify their lives.

Luckily, startup costs for decluttering businesses are relatively low, so it’s much easier to make profit in this business without needing to do too much.

With the use of your social media platforms, you can start this business as fast as possible. Social media provides an effective way to reach potential clients, showcase your services, and build a brand presence.

Moving on, decluttering involves selling off items based on a percentage. It could be 10% or 15% of the price per item. For example, a person relocating may decide to sell his/her household items. The person takes clear pictures of all these items and the price he or she wants to sell them and sends them to the declutter agent.

The agent uploads these pictures of the item on the declutter page on social media platforms stating the price, location and condition of the item. An interested buyer contacts the agent and makes payment. The buyer goes to the location given by the seller to pick up. After the buyer has successfully picked up the item, the agent deducts their agreed-upon commission from the sale price and then pays the rest into the account of the seller.

Basically, the job of a decluttering agent is that of a middle man or intermediary who brings together buyers and sellers for a percentage. This business can be done in the convenience of your bedroom. All you need is a smartphone, an active online presence, sufficient data and power bank.

However, it is important that you have a good and solid online reputation in order to earn people’s trust. Another way to earn people’s trust in this business is to register your business. Register your decluttering business and obtain any necessary licenses or permits required in your locality.

Also, encouraging satisfied clients to leave positive reviews and testimonials on your social media pages can significantly enhance your credibility.

Finally, decluttering business demands dedication, strong organizational skills, and a genuine commitment to helping clients simplify their lives. By following the proper steps and consistently delivering exceptional service, you can build a successful decluttering business that has the potential to grow into a thriving enterprise.
