The state commissioner of Health, Dr Aisha MZ Anka disclosed this at the flag-off of the distribution of 3.2 million mosquito nets across the state.

The commissioner who was represented by the acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Malam Bashiru said the nets were procured by AMF while President’s Malaria Initiative (PMI) provided operational cost of over one billion naira for the smooth and successful exercise.

The commissioner expressed appreciation for the efforts of all donors who gave their maximum support for the fight against malaria, poverty, education and all aspects of lives.

The commissioner charged officials handling the project to be committed to the success of the exercise and warned against diversion of the nets.
