Ahead of 2023 general election, Gombe State governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, has kicked off his re-election campaign tour, with his campaign train berthing yesterday at Balanga local government area.

The rally started from Balanga North where the campaign train hit five wards in the area amid mammoth crowd.

The first port of call was the palace of Bala Waja at Talasse, Alhaji  Muhammad Danjuma Muhammad, where he reiterated  his strong commitment to continue bringing development to Balanga local government area and Gombe State entirely.

The governor who holds the traditional title of Jarman Waja said Balanga is a stronghold of the APC and that he is confident the people would not let the party down.

He noted that Balanga has benefitted immensely from the Network 1100 Project of his administration where several roads were constructed including the important 21 kilometer road linking Balanga North and South worth more than 8 billion Naira.

“When we came here in 2019, we made promises, but today, we can beat our chest that most of these promises are successfully delivered,” he remarked.

He said his government is pursuing projects that will ensure proper exploitation of potentials of Balanga Dam for agricultural and economic development of the people of the area and Gombe State in general.

Inuwa maintained that his administration would continue to focus on policies and programmes that will provide employment and overall economic prosperity of Gombe people.

“It is against this backdrop that we are establishing Industrial Park in Dadin Kowa which will employ thousands of youths in Gombe State.

“In just few years, our government has  recorded numerous achievements that could not be attained the previous administrations. We are proud of what we did and I am sure people are satisfied with the achievements; I am also confident that APC will have a landslide victory in the forthcoming general elections”, he added.
