Man Drowns While Fetching Water In Kano Puddle

Tragedy struck in Kunture town of Ungogo local government area of Kano State when a 30-year-old man, Rabiu Sani, lost his life after falling into a puddle while fetching water.

According to a press release issued by the public relations officer (PRO) of the Kano State Fire Service, Saminu Yusif Abdullahi, the agency received an emergency call at approximately 9:57am from a police officer, Silas Munkhaila, to report the incident. The rescue team promptly mobilised and arrived at the scene by 10:15am.

On arrival, the team found the victim unconscious in the water. Despite their swift efforts, the young man was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was subsequently handed over to the Ward Head of Kunture town, Uba Abdulkadir.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased slipped while fetching water, leading to the tragic accident.
