The tanker explosion left several people feared dead and many vehicles destroyed.

The incident is said to have involved a Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) tanker that lost control and collided with other vehicles, resulting in a catastrophic explosion.

At the time of filing this report last night, it was gathered that at least seven bodies had been recovered from the scene of the disaster while emergency response operation was still ongoing.

Personnel from the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other security agencies were seen at the scene, working to contain the situation. The development forced many commuters to abandon their vehicles.
