The Minister of State for Defence and former Zamfara State governor, Bello Muhammad Matawalle, has congratulated President Bola Tinubu following his victory at the APC presidential primary election.

Matawalle gave the commendation after attending the APC National Collation of the Presidential Direct Primary Election Results held at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.

This was disclosed in a statement issued by his Personal Assistant on Media, Ahmad Dan-Wudil, on Tuesday.

According to the statement, Matawalle also witnessed the presentation of the Certificate of Return and the party’s flag to Tinubu after emerging victorious in the keenly contested exercise.

Tinubu secured 10,999,162 votes to defeat his challenger, Stanley Osifo, who polled 16,503 votes.
