The Vice-Chancellor, Modibbo Adama University, Yola, Professor Ibrahim Umar, has advised fresh students to steer clear of cultism, examination malpractice, indecent dressing, violence and all forms of fraud.
Speaking during the matriculation of 5,297 students yesterday, he reiterated the university’s zero-tolerance stance on misconduct, warning that violators would face strict disciplinary measures, including possible expulsion.
Prof. Umar urged the students to remain focused, disciplined and committed to their academic goals.
He said education at MAU Yola goes beyond classroom learning, emphasising but also about character building and service to society.
The vice chancellor highlighted the university’s dedication to nurturing responsible, knowledgeable and ethical graduates.
He encouraged the students to make full use of the available resources and opportunities to develop both intellectually and morally.
