Fresh facts have emerged that the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya, popularly known as MC Oluomo and other notable youth leaders have concluded plans to unveil a socio-political organisation to support President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general election.
It was gathered that the group to be known as Team Nigeria Project (TNP), which will help to bolster citizens’ participation in governance across the country, would be led by MC Oluomo, a prominent mobiliser.
The director general, Mr Olamilekan Taiwo Pedro, addressed newsmen in Lagos on Wednesday. He said TNP is poised to mobilise support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, saying the massive economic and infrastructure transformation the nation has witnessed under him should be continued beyond 2027.
“Under the administration of President Bola Tinubu, the country has since 2023 witnessed an economic turnaround due to tough but necessary decisions, including the removal of fuel subsidy. Today, our IGR is steadily increasing while the states receive more allocations from the FG to embark on developmental projects.
“The local currency, Naira, has been stabilised, local refineries are working, our people are receiving adequate supplies and small and medium scale enterprises are thriving due to improved infrastructure, particularly power and roads.
“The massive investment in agriculture has brought about food security as the country no longer relies on imports to feed our population. The federal highways across the country are beautiful to behold. Insecurity has been largely degraded, and our citizens sleep with their eyes closed. TNP believes strongly that a government that has done so much for the country can only be rewarded with a re-election, “he said.
According to him, several directorates have been put in place to mobilise Nigerians in large numbers, both women and youths, to support the election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.
He said top officials of the governing All Progressives Congress (APC) would attend the group’s formal launch next month in Abuja.
