Muslim Media Watch Group of Nigeria (MMWG) has condemned the attack launched on the convoy of the United States Embassy (US) at Ogbaru local government area of Anambra State.

The group in a statement issued by its national coordinator, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, described the attack on US embassy staff as criminal, unpatriotic and senseless.

It stated that for senior embassy officials who are on humanitarian visit to certain parts of the state to be confronted with such a devilish attack leading to death of some security operatives attached to the envoys, is to say the least satanic and irresponsible.

The group, therefore, called on all security agencies in Anambra State to investigate the attack deeply and those that are found to be responsible should be urgently apprehended and be made to face the wrath of the law.

It maintained that such devilish attacks on citizens and foreigners are unfortunate as it would continue to create a bad image for the country.

“The patriotic citizens of Ogbaru local government area of Anambra State must ensure that culprits are exposed for immediate arrest to prevent similar occurrences in the future which might be targeted at them; warning that acts of terrorisms and other criminal activities must be wiped-out of Nigeria,” the group added.
