Actor Samuel Monroe Jr., widely recognised for his role in the 1993 cult classic ‘Menace II Society’, has reportedly been hospitalised and placed on life support as he battles meningitis.
According to reports, the 52-year-old actor has been receiving treatment in a Southern California hospital for the past three days, with his condition said to be critical. Family sources disclosed that doctors are still monitoring his progress closely, while his prognosis remains uncertain.
In the midst of the health crisis, Monroe’s family has launched a GoFundMe campaign to assist with his rising medical expenses and provide support for his children, Kingston and Brooklynn.
Part of the appeal reads, “Every donation, no matter the size, will help ease the burden on Samuel’s family and ensure that Kingston and Brooklynn have the support they need while their father fights for his life.”
His mother also shared an emotional message on Facebook, writing, “God don’t make no mistakes, but he is gracious, and I am humbly asking for his mercy and grace for Sam. I love you, son, to the moon and back 100 times.”
Monroe is also known for ‘Set It Off’, ‘Tales from the Hood’, ‘The Players Club’ and ‘NYPD Blue’.
