Shola Mese has emerged as the new Vice Captain of Ogunu Golf Club following a keenly contested election held in Warri, Delta State.

Mese, popularly known as “FBI”, defeated Chief Blessing Oboh after polling 57 votes against his opponent’s 41 votes from a total of 98 ballots cast during the election held recently.

Other officials elected into the club’s executive committee include Captain Fabiansky, Secretary Tony Ovie-Whisky, Communication Secretary Shaibu and House Officer Ehis.

Speaking after the election victory, Mese expressed gratitude to members of the club for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to provide inclusive and transparent leadership.

“I am deeply honoured by this victory and the trust members placed in me. I will serve with humility, fairness and dedication,” he said.

The new Vice Captain promised to promote unity among members, improve competitions and strengthen the club’s standing within Nigeria’s growing golf community.

“Every member matters. I want a club where everyone feels respected, involved and proud to belong,” he added.
