James Safechuck, one of the primary accusers of late American pop star Michael Jackson, is set to be questioned under oath today,  Monday, September 14, 2026, as part of revived legal proceedings against the singer’s estate.

According to US court documents, the 48-year-old will sit for an official deposition alongside his mother, Stephanie Safechuck, whose testimony is scheduled for October 15 and 20.

Safechuck and co-accuser Wade Robson allege that Jackson sexually abused them as minors at his Neverland Ranch in California.

His mother, Stephanie, was previously featured in the 2019 documentary Leaving Neverland, in which she recounted how the singer befriended her family following a television commercial shoot involving her then-nine-year-old son.

Although a Los Angeles judge dismissed Safechuck’s lawsuit against Jackson’s business entities in 2020, a California Appeals Court overturned the ruling in 2023, granting both accusers the legal right to revive their civil suits against the late musician’s companies.

Jackson, who died in 2009, consistently denied all allegations of child abuse during his lifetime.
