The Military Court Martial sitting at Command Mess Abuja, on Tuesday, has sentenced Major General U. M. Mohammed to seven years imprisonment.

The President of the General Court Martial, Major General James Myam, had found the senior Army officer guilty of 14 out of 18 count charges.
The convicted senior officer is to refund $217,900 USD and N1.65bn to the Nigerian Army Properties Ltd.
The sentence is, however, subject to the confirmation of the Military Council.
