A group, National Equality and Justice Forum has commended the Armed Forces of Nigeria for its sincerity, dedication and commitment to a peaceful and stable country.

The group in a press release signed by its president, Elder Venatius Obi and secretary, Malam Gambo Shema, commended the recent media parley the Chief of Defence Staff, Gen. Chris Musa had with Defence Correspondents. Obi said it reflected the military’s total commitment to its mandate.

The press release said the media briefing revealed a CDS that is committed to the peace of the country and welfare of his personnel.

The forum said the Armed Forces under Gen. Musa continue to show cohesion in tackling the security challenges in the country.

It said, “Troops are successfully rescuing kidnapped victims and dealing with unrepentant bandits and terrorists. From the Nigeria Air Force (NAF) air strikes are obliterating the Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists and criminals across the country.

“Like the CDS said, securing Nigeria is not just for the Armed Forces of Nigeria, but for all citizens. The National Equality and Justice Forum will continue to use its platform to continue to solicit the support and cooperation of all in ensuring the security challenges are a thing of the past. The sacrifices of our troops will never be in vain, we must support and encourage them.”
