While Expressing appreciation for the president’s adherence to constitutional norms and urgency in assembling his team, the group expressed reservations about the chosen nominees, citing potential repercussions for the stability of the party in the region.

In a statement signed by Com Shehu Yusuf Com yohanna Ezekiel, Alh Dauda Isah, Alh Mohammed Nasiru, Alh Bala Yusha’u Abdullahi on behalf of the group, they also expressed shock and disappointment over the selection of candidates who, according to them, did not play significant roles in the 2023 election that led to the APC’s victory at the national level.

The group voiced concern that these appointments could undermine the hard-earned goodwill of the party within the state, asserting that individuals who were instrumental in the party’s success were inexplicably overlooked, potentially demoralizing loyal party members.

They sighted a contentious nominees who was alleged to have openly opposed President Tinubu during the primaries, making derogatory remarks about those who supported him.

The statement also highlighted the nominee’s supposed alignment with a different political figure, suggesting that his loyalty might not be fully aligned with the party and its leader.

This, according to the group, could have negative repercussions for party cohesion and effectiveness.

“It is clear that our President means well but we were shocked to say the least by the choice of nominees from our state.

“Members of our state chapter of the party are worried that this appointment will if allowed to stand will destroy the good will we enjoy because those who truely Laboured for the success of the APC in Bauchi State have so far been left out.

“Mr. President sir, the nominees were not among those who spent time and resources before, during the 2023 election which our party won convincingly at the national level.

“Infact, the vote you missed in the state during primaries was from one of the nominee you now nominated as a minister to the amazement of the state loyal APC family.

“Even at the Primaries election ground, he iterated that whoever vote for Tinubu should not expect anything from him, because his money is only for Amechi not for any body and knows that Amechi will win, and he kept itetating that his nomination is not from Tinubu.

“There are leaders who held our party together when the nominees were clearly working against our collective interest.”

The group appealed to President Tinubu to reconsider the selection of ministerial nominees from Bauchi State, emphasizing the importance of recognizing and rewarding the loyalty and dedication of those who genuinely contributed to the party’s success, While urging the president to make choices that would bolster the party’s strength and unity moving forward.
