Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs (FMSDIGA) has verified and certified about 110 zonal intervention and constituency projects in the first three quarters of 2025.
The minister of Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Hon. Zephaniah Bitrus Jisalo, disclosed this at the ministry’s third quarter stakeholders’ and citizens’ engagement forum, themed “Deepening Inclusive Governance Through Regional Collaboration and Grassroots Participation” held yesterday in Abuja.
Jisalo said the zonal interventions and constituency projects span healthcare, education, water, energy and empowerment sectors.
He added that the projects have directly impacted communities, stimulated local economies and improved access to basic services.
Represented by the ministry’s permanent secretary, Dr Onwusoro Maduka Ihemelandu, the minister reiterated that FMSDIGA had strengthened its monitoring and improved financial accountability for constituency projects through collaboration with the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation.
He said the ministry’s adherence to digital transformation through the implementation of the Enterprise Content Management System (ECM) and the ongoing automation of the Performance Management System (PMS) for improved productivity are creating a more transparent and efficient service delivery.
Jisalo revealed that the ministry, in its bid to boost inclusive governance, is participating in the NACCIMA Youth Entrepreneurs (NYE) engagement. He explained that the ministry was supporting Nigerian artisans and technicians through strengthened vocational training, intergovernmental collaboration and digital empowerment, recognising their critical role in driving inclusive economic development.
