The chairman, National Population Commission (NPC), Nasir Isa Kwarra and the coordinating minister of health and social welfare, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate, have laid the foundation for a transformative collaboration for healthcare delivery in Nigeria.

Under the deal, the parties will establish a robust framework for data sharing and integration of the e-Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (VitalReg) system into healthcare services nationwide.

At the meeting, which was attended by key stakeholders such as UNICEF Nigeria and Barnksforte Technologies Limited yesterday, the participants were charged to be enthusiastic and determined to harness the power of technology for the betterment of public health.

Kwarra emphasised the indispensable role of data-driven decision-making in healthcare policy formulation and service delivery.

He stressed the imperative for seamless collaboration between the NPC and the ministry to ensure the effective integration of Vital Reg, a state-of-the-art electronic registration system, into the healthcare ecosystem.
