The Muslim Media Practitioners of Nigeria (MMPN) Oyo State chapter has cautioned political actors whose parties and candidates lost in the 2023 general elections to resist attempts aimed at constituting a clog in the wheel of the nation’s democratic existence and progress.

The  media practitioners enjoined them to toe the constitutionally approved procedures to present their grievances and seek redress.

The association in a communique issued at the end of its monthly meeting held in Ibadan and signed by its chairman,  Alhaji Adebayo Abdur-Rofih, urged the  president-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed, not only be steadfast in his resolve to prioritize competence, merit and integrity in running state affairs but should equally make his administration inclusive of women, religious leaders, youths and people with disabilities.

It stresssed the need for the incoming government to evolve modalities for entrenching true federalism with a view to addressing the nation’s ethnic, social and economic questions.

The Oyo MMPN charged the governments at both the federal and state levels to as a matter of responsibility reduce high cost of governance so that available resources could be channelled into people-oriented projects and programmes for better living.
