“A team of detectives, led by the Divisional Police Officer (DPO), visited the crime scene to gather evidence and piece together the circumstances surrounding the event,” the statement said.

CP Aliyu described the act as barbaric and a violation of the rule of law and urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with the police as the investigation continues.

“The Command remains resolute in its pursuit of justice and is committed to ensuring those responsible are held accountable,” he said.

Aliyu further cautioned citizens against taking the law into their hands, stressing that no individual has the right to subject a suspect to such inhumane treatment.
