A Yaba Magistrate Court in Lagos State has granted singer Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, and Balogun Eletu, popularly known as Sam Larry, bail in the sum of N20 million with three responsible sureties.

The Magisterate, Adeola Olatunbosun, also ordered the duo to submit their international passports as part of their bail conditions.

The Magistrate also ordered the duo to make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).

Adding a unique warning, the Magistrate overseeing the case sternly cautioned that any attempt to contact her through the back channel would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings.

“As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department.

“Any attempt to contact me directly would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings,” Olatunbosun warned.

The duo were arrested on their return to Nigeria over their alleged linked to the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

Videos on social media had shown Sam Larry physically assaulting Mobad previously, while other videos showed boys suspected to be under the orders of Naira Marley also attacking the late rapper over his departure from Marlian Records, a record label founded by Naira Marley.
