A traditional ruler in Ndoni community in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni local government of Rivers State, Prof. Franklin Chukwuma, has lauded the chief medical director of the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital (UPTH), Prof. Henry Ugboma, for his medical outreach in the community.
Chukwuma, who is the Awoh of Ndoni, gave the commendation yesterday while conferring a chieftaincy on Ugboma as the Ogene of Ndoni Kingdom.
He also conferred the prestigious chieftaincy title of “Akpanuka of Ndoni” on a front-line politician and a renowned Niger Delta activist, Chief Dennis Obi.
The traditional ruler stated that Ugboma’s medical outreach programme is being selflessly carried out with God-fearing disposition.
Chukwuma further stated that the selection of the UPTH chief medical director was based on meritorious service to the community, especially the less privileged in society.
In their response, Ugboma and Obi pledged their unalloyed loyalty and commitment to the socio-economic emancipation of Ndoni Kingdom and thanked the Awoh for the honour.
