The traditional ruler of the Ndoni Kingdom in Rivers State, Prof. Franklin Chukwuma, has taken steps to transform the ancient kingdom’s rich cultural heritage.
To this end, he has announced the appointment of a prominent son of Ndoni, Chief Michael Onyema, as the substantive secretary of the Awoh-in-Council.
At the occasion, which was held at his palace, Chukwuma described the appointment as a panacea for the area’s rich cultural transformation.
Describing the new secretary, Onyema, as an illustrious son with impeccable character and vast experience, the traditional ruler praised his one-year outstanding role in acting capacity.
Responding, Chief Michael Onyema, who is also the Ebornadi of Ndoni, renewed his commitment towards the accelerated development of the community.
Onyema called on the community’s youth to support various government programmes through patriotism to improve the quality of life.
