Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, confirmed this in a statement issued by Abdur-Rahman Balogun Director of Media, Public Relations and Protocols Unit of NiDCOM, Abuja.

She said the two girls whose rescue operation was again facilitated by the Nigerians in Diaspora Organization (NIDO) Ghana, under the leadership of the Chairman, BOT, Chief Calistus , are now in a safe custody.

She reiterated her call for concerted efforts in combating human trafficking in all ramifications as it is another form of modern day slavery.

She said the girls are giving useful information aimed at tracking down their traffickers as they were deceived into prostitution.
