The Ansar-ud-Deen Society of Nigeria has extended heartfelt greetings to mothers across the nation as the world comes together to celebrate Mother’s Day.

In a statement released yesterday, the society expressed its deep appreciation for the invaluable contributions of mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures in shaping lives and communities.

Prince Mosediq Adeniji Kazeem, President of the Ansar-ud-Deen Society, highlighted the significance of this cherished occasion, describing it as a day devoted to love, gratitude, and recognition of the sacrifices made by mothers. “A mother is more than just a parent — she is a teacher, a caregiver, a protector, a counsellor, and often, the silent hero who works behind the scenes,” he stated.

The statement acknowledged the challenges of motherhood, emphasising the strength and resilience mothers demonstrate daily. “We recognise that motherhood is not always easy. It comes with challenges, late nights, early mornings, and moments of worry,” Kazeem said. He affirmed that mothers deserve more than just a day of recognition; they merit a lifetime of honour and appreciation.

In a poignant reminder, the society encouraged remembrance of those who have lost their mothers, offering condolences and support.

“May their memories be a blessing and a source of strength,” Kazeem remarked, also recognising the feelings of those wishing to become mothers or who have faced loss.

The society drew upon the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who emphasised the immense value of mothers and the duty of care and respect owed to them.

Kazeem quoted the Prophet’s words, “Paradise lies under the feet of mothers,” reinforcing that serving and honouring them is among the highest acts of worship.

As the celebration unfolds, the Ansar-ud-Deen Society urges everyone to express their love and appreciation for mothers through meaningful actions, such as hugs, phone calls, or spending quality time together.

In closing, Kazeem conveyed a powerful message to all mothers: “You are loved. You are valued. You are irreplaceable.”
