Speaking at the championship held over the weekend, Mouktar underscored the significance of grassroots sports development, describing judo as a discipline that not only cultivates character but also fosters unity among young people. He emphasised the sport’s role in empowering youth to believe in themselves and strive towards achieving their dreams.

“We are gathered here today for the FCT Grassroots Junior Judo Championship, which unites participants from the central zone, including FCT, Kwara, Kogi, Plateau, Nasarawa, and Niger,” Mouktar remarked.

“It brings me immense pride and joy to be here not only as a patron of FCT Judo but also as a proud sponsor of this championship. This event transcends mere competition; it is a celebration of discipline, respect, courage, and the boundless potential of our youth.”

Mouktar’s commitment to supporting the development of judo aligns with his broader vision of promoting sports as a key vehicle for youth empowerment and societal unity.
