The NGX Made of Africa Award recognises outstanding companies and individuals within the capital market ecosystem who exhibit exceptional performance in value delivery and sustainable impact, playing pivotal roles in strengthening the Nigerian and African capital markets. These awards also seek to commend adherence to high ethical standards, compliance with The Exchange’s rules and regulations.

The Most Compliant Listed Company award is bestowed upon the listed company with the highest level of compliance with the Rules of the Exchange (Issuers’ Rules) without incurring any penalties during the review period.

CEO of NGX, Temi Popoola said: “the Most Compliant award is a prestigious award that showcases the companies that uphold the highest standards of compliance and transparency in their operations and governance. We are proud to have MTN Nigeria as one of our listed companies and we congratulate them for winning this award for the second consecutive year. This is a testament to their commitment to excellence and integrity in the Nigerian Capital Market.”

MTN Nigeria was listed on the NGX in 2019. Since its listing, the company has become notable for its dedication to complying with the rules of the Exchange, which are designed to ensure that the market operates credibly and transparently. This commitment culminated in MTN Nigeria securing the award for the Most Compliant Listed Company by the NGX, not only in 2022 but also in 2023. This consecutive recognition further reinforces MTN’s steadfast dedication to fostering a world class exchange, underscoring credibility and transparency as core elements in every facet of its operations.
