MTV Base, Ahlumi Entertainment Partner To celebrate ‘MTV Base Day’ in Abuja

MTV Base, the leading youth entertainment, lifestyle music and social conscious channel last Sunday, teamed up with Ahlumi Entertainment, Abuja’s esteemed event promoter to deliver an unforgettable experience to music lovers and enthusiasts through its renowned MTV Base Day event.

The “MTV Base Day” celebration was a fusion of music from some of Abuja’s biggest music stars and DJs. The star-studded lineup of on-stage performers included DJ TTB, B-Red, DJ Gigi Jasmine, DJ Romiesam, and many more surprise celebrity appearances.

Speaking on the event Bada Akintunde Johnson, Country Manager Paramount Africa, mother company of MTV Base,BET and other brands said, “MTV Base Day is the biggest day on the calendar for the year, it’s the day we celebrate the anniversary for MTV Base.

“And this year, as we always try to do, we connect with our fans in Abuja,to celebrate with them for the support that they’ve given us over the years.”

He noted that the MTV Base Day,is also a celebration of how far the network has come having been in the market since 2005.

Johnson added that when MTV Base came on board,there were barely good enough videos to play on TV but now Nigerian videos and artists rank among the best in the world.

“The event is to celebrate the strides MTV Base has made and the work that still needs to be done for the future.”He stated.

On her part Busola Komolafe, Senior Channels Manager, Paramount Africa, said, “MTV Base has always been at the forefront of showcasing the best of Nigerian talents and their captivating sounds, and Ahlumi Entertainment shares the same passion.
