The convener of Catch ’em Young Teenage Academy, Bukki Obey, says her desire is to empower youths to become confident, compassionate and forward-thinking.
Obey, while speaking against the backdrop of the launch of make-up and other skills programme in a bid to empower and nurture young talents, said the one-month pilot program which would run prior to the start of school attracted an 25 youngsters aged 7 to 19.
According to her, the Make-up Bootcamp not only marked the start of the project, but will also demonstrate children’s enormous passion and interest in skill-building opportunities.
“We believe in nurturing the whole person, not just teaching a trade. Our goal is to empower these young minds to become confident, compassionate, and forward-thinking individuals who can make a positive difference in their communities and beyond,” she said.
