has high hopes to have a collaboration with France-based Nigerian singer Bukola Elemide popularly known as Asa.

In a recent encounter, Lucid who said music means everything to him noted that Asa is an inspiration to his career.

“Music is who I am and I don’t think I can live without music. It’s therapeutic to me, I get to pass messages freely through music. It’s basically who I am. Although my genre is Afrobeats. But I’ll also describe my style as Free, Lucid, Genuine, and dynamic, I hope to one day collaborate with Asa because she has been a big inspiration to me and I connect with her sound deeply.”

Lucid born and brought up in Abuja started doing music at age 11, however he didn’t get the full support of his parents initially but his constant push for what he loves paved way for him.

“My dad didn’t like the fact that I was going to the studio every time and coming home late most times. My mom didn’t really have a problem with it because she saw what I had and she saw the connection because there was one time when I was little and I visited my grandma in the village when she was sick and I made a song for her in my dialect. It’s almost like I’ve been singing my whole life.

By the end of 2020 I dropped my first single titled Lyk That. I couldn’t promote it properly but a lot of people appreciated the sound, vibed to it and shared it,” he stated.

It is a general knowledge that some entertainers thrive on controversies, Lucid, based on his fair share of experiences expressed his thoughts on such set of people.

According to the Plateau State Indigene, he thinks otherwise: “I don’t think there’s any need for controversies. It should be real, genuine. You should just do your thing and stay away from whatever passes the wrong message about you, or whatever passes hate and bad energy. It should be real, there no use faking things because you know yourself and your conscience will be always be judged by you.”
