Born in Port Harcourt, Blaki moved to Germany years back in search of greener pastures, only to end up in music, not just music but also becomes a part of a group of artistes, German Afrobeats All Stars promoting the Afrobeats culture in Europe.

Through his music, Blaki expresses his multiculturality – as he sings in both English and German languages, whilst allowing his song speak to social issues in Nigeria as well as the resiliency and positivity of Nigerians.

“I will proudly say I represent our Afrobeats culture in Germany and need the support of my people. When you think of me, think of that man who has stayed true to his gift of music, armed with a resilient spirit as I have continued to evolve with the passage of time.”

Blaki who had shared a stage with the likes of 2Face, Duncan Mighty, J Martins among others believes he is yet to hit his best stride musically, particularly when it comes to expressing positive vibes and messages.

In fact, his latest single Waka Waka (ft Cedar Case) was inspired by that same positive energy Nigerians are known for regardless of challenges. It addressed several social issues and is a follow-up to decade-old song Payer for Nigeria.

“Music is an art of expression and io have different topics interwoven in different genres of music, but my heartbeat is Afrobeats. Having lived in Germany for years, and travelled far and near places, the Nigerian positive energy is what makes us resilient and special. If we have explored our potentials in Nigeria to the fullest, we would have eradicated the Jakpa epidemic,” concluded Blaki.

Other songs by the Blaki include Obinwanne, Gbadu you Soccer Fiesta, Happy Birthday. He has also performed in the annual December Calabar Carnival Festival alongside Wande Coal, Inyanya and Sean Kingston.
