Rivers State governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has declared that the only offence he committed against those fighting his administration in the state was his refusal to share state-owned resources to individuals.

Fubara made the declaration in Port Harcourt on Moday, while speaking at the official commissioning of the headquarters of a political pressure group, the Simplicity Movement (SM).

SM, which has presence in the 23 local government areas of the state, was founded by the governorship candidate of the National Rescue Movement (NRM) in the 2023 general election in the state, Chief Sobomabo Jackrich.

The governor, who was represented by the caretaker committee chairman of Ogu/Bolo local government area, Rt. Hon. Evans Bipi, assured the people of the state that they will not regret supporting his administration.

In his speech, SM national leader, Chief Sobomabo Jackrich, described the governor as an embodiment of wisdom, who will continue to enjoy the support of the people of the state.

Jackrich stated that in less than two years, Fubara has set in motion developmental revolution that is unprecedented in the history of the state.

He said: “In less than two years into your first tenure, as governor, you have set in motion a developmental revolution that is unprecedented in our state’s history. Despite global economic challenges, you have launched the most ambitious infrastructural development projecting Rivers State has ever seen. These are not just promises, they re realities unfolding before our eyes.”
