N1trn Kaduna Light Rail Project To Begin In 2 Months – Gov Sani

Kaduna State governor, Senator Uba Sani, has said the state’s N1 trillion Light Rail Project will commence in the next two months.

He hinted that the contractors had been mobilised.

The governor appaluded  President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for facilitating the siting of federal projects in Kaduna State, citing the Kaduna Light Rail os one of them.

Sani stated spoke at the flag-off of 11 road projects in Zaria and Sabon Gari local government areas at the Fillin Mallawa on Saturday.

He said Tinubu has been a pillar of support in the execution of road projects and infrastructural developmentin Kaduna State in the last three and half years.

While thanking the President, Governor Sani said Kaduna and Lagos States were the only beneficiaries of the project which promises to be a game-changer in mass transit.

‘’In the next one week, the groundbreaking of Mando-Birnin Gwari Road, which will stretch from Kaduna to Birnin Gwari town, will be performed. The President has paid N100,000,078,000,’’ he stated.

According to him, all the developmental projects that were being sited in Kaduna State have been made possible because the people support the federal and state governments.

On the 11 road projects in both Zaria and Sabon Gari councils which he flagged off, the governor promised that they will be commissioned in the next five months.

In his speech, the speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, noted that President Tinubu has an exceptional love for Kaduna State, adding that he has done what no president has done for the state.
