Abiodun, LEADERSHIP gathered, has been able to get N2 million from the sales of   his car and other sources. LEADERSHIP learnt that the troubled father had offered the N2 million to the kidnappers, but they rejected it, insisting on taking nothing less than N8million.

A source which pleaded anonymity told LEADERSHIP that the kidnappers have reduced the ransom from N20million to N8million.

In a viral social media message, a Good Samaritan updated the public on the efforts being made by Abiodun to secure the release of his remaining two children from their abductors.

The post reads:” In addition to my update about the Gaa Osibi issue that I reported here in the morning, my heart was in turmoil when typing this message because this is pure agony, frustration and traumatisation.

“I received a call from a friend of the man (Mallam Lukman) whose two out of his three children are still in the custody of the kidnappers that these people have called him to bring N20m or lose his two children. And after some level of engagements, they told the young man to bring N8 million. Subuhanallah!!!

“According to my impeccable source, the father has sold his car at the rate of N1.5 million and ran around to get additional N500,000, making N2 million. He called them (kidnappers) that he has been able to raise N2m and they insisted it must reach N8m or he risks losing his children.

Alas!

“This evening (Saturday), he sent the picture of his houses already put on sale at least to raise more money as ransom and he also begged me to assist him by putting it on my wall to seek financial support with his account number.

“Toor, I did this fisabilillah because I don’t know him from anywhere but his situation is painful and may Almighty Allah return his children safely and may you and I never become the next victim.”

LEADERSHIP had in its Weekend publication reported that residents of Aseyori, Alubarika and Aleniboro communities in Alagbado area, Okelele, Ilorin have deserted their homes following the invasion of the communities by kidnappers. As at last count, two persons had fallen to the bullets of the kidnappers while five children had been abducted in the areas.
