The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially decorated 38 newly promoted senior officers with new ranks of Air Vice Marshal (AVM) and Air Commodores.

Among those decorated are 22 AVMs and 16 Air Commodores, with a charge to devise solutions to the persisting security challenges.

Minister of Defence, Alh. Mohammed Badaru, urged the military to reassess strategies, techniques, tactics, and procedures to counter security threats.

“We must, therefore, review our strategies, techniques, tactics, and procedures to contain these challenges and assure our fellow citizens of their security and safety,” he stated.

He also tasked them to utilise all their knowledge, wisdom, ingenuity, and critical thinking capabilities gathered over the years to elevate the Nigerian Air Force to higher standards and contribute to a peaceful and greater Nigeria.
