The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the Federal Government-approved fares for the 2027 Hajj, with intending pilgrims required to complete their payments ahead of strict deadlines set for the pilgrimage.

The approved fares vary according to departure zones, with pilgrims from the Maiduguri/Yola Zone to pay ₦7,560,822, those from the Northern Zone ₦7,672,822, and pilgrims from the Southern Zone ₦7,882,822.

NAHCON said the fares were arrived at after consultations with the Forum of State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, key service providers in Saudi Arabia and consideration of prevailing exchange rates and service costs.

The Commission said the approved rates were in line with the principles of transparency and cost efficiency, as well as the Federal Government’s commitment to the welfare of Nigerian pilgrims.

Intending pilgrims who have already deposited ₦5 million are required to pay the outstanding balance to complete their registration.

New registrants, meanwhile, are advised to make payments through their respective State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, Agencies or Commissions, or through participating banks under an approved Hajj Savings Scheme.

NAHCON also announced September 26, 2026, as the final deadline for the complete upload of intending pilgrims’ biometric data on the designated Nusuk-Masar digital platform.

The Commission stressed that the deadline was fixed in strict compliance with the policy of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah and that no extension would be granted.

In addition, all 2027 Hajj fares must be remitted by the states to NAHCON by December 2, 2026.

NAHCON explained that timely remittance was essential because data synchronisation and seat allocation for pilgrims depend on the completion of payments within the stipulated period.

The Commission warned that failure by states or intending pilgrims to meet the prescribed deadlines would result in the forfeiture of allocated Hajj slots.

NAHCON urged all stakeholders, particularly State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, Agencies and Commissions, as well as intending pilgrims, to ensure strict compliance with the payment and biometric registration deadlines to avoid losing their places for the 2027 pilgrimage.
