Napoli manager Antonio Conte has provided an update on Victor Osimhen, saying there have been ‘no changes’ regarding the forward’s future.

Osimhen is expected to leave Napoli FC this summer with Conte confirming there was a ‘pact’ between the player and the club to agree a transfer away from the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona.

“I spoke to Victor and there are no changes on his situation. He’s a top player,” Conte said in comments published by Fabrizio Romano on X handle on Saturday.

“He’s Napoli player today so he needs to work hard, even if we’ve an agreement for his potential exit and still we don’t know the outcome of this story.”

The Nigeria international has a release clause of €130m (£109m) in his contract, a figure that Premier League clubs have so far been reluctant to match. Arsenal and Chelsea have been heavily linked with the 25-year-old Africa’s best footballer, but it is Paris Saint-Germain who have firmed up their interest.
