NAPPS acknowledged several laurels and landmark contributions of members of the noble association, in supporting government efforts in the onerous task of educating the citizenry, as well as the challenges confronting the association.
The NWC welcomed the strategic vision for the upcoming years, as presented by the National President, Hajia Samira Jibir, PhD., emphasizing the importance of innovation, growth and sustainability.
This comprehensive vision, which seeks to enhance the quality of education and drive sustainable development, underscores NAPPS’ commitment to equipping students with the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly changing global landscape.
The meeting, which was held in Abuja yesterday, acknowledged the several laurels and landmark contributions of members of the association in supporting the government’s efforts to educate the citizenry and the challenges confronting the association.
NAPPS president Hajia Samira Jibir highlighted the importance of innovation, growth, and sustainability, expanding the association’s reach and improving service delivery to members across the country.
She reiterated the strategic plan to increase membership across various regions through targeted programmes and enhanced benefits.
Adding that, “NAPPS underscored the need for advocacy and policy influence in the light of the recent report banning under 18 students from writing NECO, WAEC and JAMB examinations. The National Working Committee of NAPPS, Nigeria, opined that policies concerning the education of our children need to be exhaustively discussed by all stakeholders to arrive at beneficial decisions in favour of our children’s education and total development in the country.”
Jibir further emphasised that enhancing educational programmes and professional development opportunities for members to strengthen service delivery, in line with emerging trends in education of the 21st century, is necessary to drive our national development.
Also, the NWC harped on the need for members to fulfil their financial obligations to the association and enjoined all leaders to be transparent in allocating resources to the priority areas identified during the meeting, adding that this will ensure that the association’s strategic goals are met efficiently and effectively.
In the area of partnerships and collaborations, the committee charged all leaders of the association to explore more opportunities for partnerships with other organisations to amplify the association’s impact and reach.
She said, “This strategic meeting marks a significant milestone for our association. We are committed to achieving our goals and driving positive change for our members.”
Meanwhile, the national secretary, Dr Kayode Adeyemi and other stakeholders at the meeting also submitted that the discussions at the strategic planning meeting have set a strong foundation for the future. “I’m excited about our direction and the opportunities ahead,” she added.
The NAPPS national working committee will begin implementing the strategic plan immediately after reviewing feedback from members, with regular progress reviews scheduled to ensure that the association stays on track to meet its objectives.
