NAPPS Urges Shift To Digital Education System

The National President of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS), Dr. Samira Jibir, has urged members to transition from analogue to digital teaching methods to promote sustainable development in the educational sector.

Speaking at the 2024 North Central Zonal Leadership Retreat in Abuja, theme: “Service, Sacrifice, and Sustainability,” Dr. Jibir emphasized the importance of providing educational services through dedication and innovation.

The retreat, organized by NAPPS, saw participation from representatives of all North Central states, including Kogi, Nasarawa, Plateau, Kwara, Niger, FCT, and Benue, with 260 participants in attendance. Prominent resource persons included Mrs. Angela Ajala , Coach Sam Obafemi and Dr. Philip Lanre.

The Fire Chart Hybrid resource persons are: Mr Iduozee Eghosa, Dr Adebimpe Aor, Dr Abiola M. Olumodeji, Dr Omehi Salihu Yahaya, Engr. Abba Saidu , Dr Olubukola S. Dosunmo, on the theme: “Imbibing stellar Leadership culture for value oriented NAPPS membership. ”

Dr. Jibir highlighted the retreat’s goal of educating members on delivering services through sacrifice for sustainable development.

During a courtesy visit to the ESU of Karu, the ESU advocated support for private school operators, recognizing them as essential contributors to national development.

“NAPPs Nigeria is an association dedicated to nurturing children for national development.

“The association is well-structured, with leadership at the National, Zonal, State, Local Government, and Ward levels.”

Meanwhile, the Head of Africa region for Classera, Dr Lanre Phillips, made public the partnership opportunity with NAPPS Nigeria and also committed to pricing support, free consultation and extended Proof of Concept periods for the schools on their journey towards digitalisation.

Twenty schools across North Central Zone are the first set of beneficiaries during the North Central Retreat. They will receive adequate information, training and price support with the HP Classera Learning Management System.

 

The communiqué through the national vice president of NAPPS North Central Dr. Rahaman Adetunji Lateef, emphasizing several objectives, including fostering unity among NAPPS members in the North Central zone and the Nation at large.

Key points included the necessity for all NAPPS schools to adopt digital teaching methods, and the importance of scheduled workshops, training, and seminars for members and their staff.

Additionally, it stressed that NAPPS schools should embody the association’s culture through behavior rather than mere identification stickers, ensuring quality service delivery in education.

Dr. Jibir urged all NAPPS members to operate schools that meet global digital standards for the benefit of Nigerian learners.

“In conclusion the NAPPS president Dr. Samira Jibir Ph.D, commend the Chairman LOC North Central Zonal Retreat, Hon Boniface and all the entire NAPPS members who came from their various states to participate on this wonderful retreat and also thanks the organising committee for making this programs successful.”
