All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State has been thrown into mourning following the death of its deputy chairman, Hon. Aliyu Yakubu Barde.
Barde, according to family sources, passed away yesterday in Lafia after a brief illness.
The sources said the deceased will be laid to rest in his hometown, Wamba, in accordance with Islamic rites.
The state APC scribe, Chief Otaru Douglas, confirmed the party chieftain’s demise to newsmen and described his death as a huge loss to the party and the entire state.
Before his emergence as the party’s deputy chairman, Barde served as Interim Management Committee (IMC) chairman of Wamba local government area during the administration of former Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.
