In his speech on behalf of the people, a former secretary to the late Sarkin Hausawa Mararaba, Nasiru Usman, said the visit was to demonstrate their loyalty and support for the emir’s leadership.
He said residents have lived together peacefully and promised to maintain the tempo. “We are here to let you know that we are always with you. We are really happy with your style of leadership and are in support of you,” he said.

In his remarks, the special assistant to the Nasarawa State governor on political matters, Alhaji Abubakar Na’Abba, said the relationship between Mararaba and Gurku is like that of a father and a son.
In his speech, the Kauran Gurku expressed happiness over the long-standing relationship between Mararaba and Gurku and appreciated the people for the visit.

He called on the people to continue working together for the peace and development of the area and Nasarawa State.
