“Intelligence reports reaching the State Government through the state Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism indicates that though the syndicate’s main target are some prominent personalities from the state, soft targets such as persons close to those personalities and several other unsuspecting citizens are at risk of falling victims to the criminals.

“In view of the foregoing, therefore, and to neutralise their plans and rid the state of criminals, Nasarawa State Government is hereby making a passionate appeal to citizens across the state to be vigilant and report all suspicious activities and actions of unknown persons in their communities to security agencies in the state,” it said.

According to the statement, the state government, in collaboration with the Nigeria Police, Department of State Security Service (DSS), Nigeria Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and other security operatives in the state, has taken measures to catch members of the syndicate and their sponsors.
