The Nasarawa State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of a female student of the Isa Mustapha Agwai l Polytechnic (IMAP), Lafia.
The Police Command, in a statement by its Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, said the student was abducted during a robbery incident.
Our correspondent gathered that the abducted student whose name was simply given as Ajoke, was an ND ll student of the Department of Science Laboratory Technology of the Polytechnic.

She was said to be among those who graduated recently from the school.
Reports earlier said gunmen attacked the institution, shot three students, and abducted one other.
The affected students were identified as Freedom Luka, HND l Public Administration; Ogwuche Janet, HND II Business Administration, and Danlandi Nicholas of Management Department, respectively.
The police said the students were not shot but only sustained injuries during the robbery incident.
The police also said the incident happened outside the school environment.
DSP Nansel told journalists that there were distress calls from Ombi 1 that a robbery was taking place in a house in the area at about 10:30pm on Monday night.
“Upon receipt of the report, Police men were immediately drafted to the scene; on arrival, it was discovered that three people were injured.
“The victims were rushed by the Police to Dalhatu Araf specialist hospital for treatment.
“Upon their return to the scene of the incident, it was later discovered that one person is missing.
“The Command has launched an investigation into the case,” the PPRO stated.
