NASC Appoints Bashir Yero As Deputy Clerk To National Assembly

The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) has announced the appointment of Engr. Bashir Aminu Yero is the deputy clerk to the National Assembly (DCNA).

The commission approved Yero’s appointment yesterday in Abuja during an emergency meeting.

Additionally, the NASC approved the appointment of Ibrahim Atiku, the director of finance and accounts, as the secretary of the directorate of procurement and supplies. Meanwhile, Engr. Liman Baba Sanda, the former secretary of the Directorate of Procurement and Supplies, has been redeployed as the secretary of estate and works.

The appointments were conveyed through letters signed by the executive chairman of the commission, Engr. Ahmed Kadi Amshi.

The commission noted that the promotions and redeployments recognised the appointees’ dedication and administrative competence and urged them to uphold their trust. The new appointments and redeployments will take effect on 2nd February 2025.

The NASC also recently appointed Barrister Kamoru Ogunlana as the substantive clerk to the National Assembly, with his appointment taking effect on February 2, 2025.
