NASC Appoints Emmanuel Odo As Acting Clerk For Senate

The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) has approved the appointment of Mr. Emmanuel Odo as the Acting Clerk of the Senate.

The approval was granted during the Commission’s 10th meeting held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.

In a statement by the Deputy Director of Information and Spokesperson of the NASC, Mr. Emmanuel N. Anyigor, it was revealed that the appointment letter was personally signed by the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Dr. Saviour Enyiekere.

Mr. Odo’s appointment takes effect immediately.

“I write to inform you that the 6th Commission, at its 10th Meeting held on Tuesday, 16th September 2025, approved your appointment as Acting Clerk, Senate, in the National Assembly with effect from 16/09/2025,” the letter stated.

Dr. Enyiekere noted that the appointment was made in recognition of Mr. Odo’s hard work, administrative competence, and dedication to service. He urged the new Acting Clerk to justify the confidence reposed in him by the Commission.

Prior to this elevation, Mr. Emmanuel Odo served as the Deputy Clerk of the Senate (Administration).
