Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Kaduna State branch has condemned the abduction of the judge of the Customary Court, Sabo, Janet Galadima alongside her four children.
The chairman of the branch, Barr. Godwin Ochai, while addressing a press conference on the development yesterday in Kaduna, disclosed that the judge and her four children were kidnapped on June 23, 2024, in her residence in Mahuta New extension area of Kaduna State.
According to him, the kidnappers killed the eldest son who was about 14 years old on July 2, 2024.
Ochai said, the kidnappers are demanding for N300 million ransom and also, threatening to kill the remaining children if their demands are not met.
“Reports reaching us is that the kidnappers have killed the first of her Honour’s children aged fourteen years. They have also threatened to kill all the remaining three if their ransom demands are not met immediately”.
He noted with dismay the alarming frequency of kidnap in Kaduna, saying that it is a crisis that requires immediate and determined action from the Kaduna State government.
“This kidnap is a wake-up call on the governor, Uba Sani-led administration that all is not well in securing the state, which is the primary responsibility of every government”.

“The Nigerian Bar Association, Kaduna Branch wishes to use this medium to call on the Kaduna State government to take urgent action to ensure the safe return of Her Honour and her remaining children,” he said.
