NCC Awards N1.1bn Contract For Virtual Examination Centre In LAUTECH

Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has awarded a contract with N1.1 billion for the construction of a 250-seater Virtual Examination Centre at Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso, Iseyin Campus.

This was as the commission is preparing to unveil the N1billion IT hub it constructed at the University of Ibadan, Ibadan before the end of May,2023.

The information concerning the award of the contract for the construction of the 250-seater virtual examination centre was contained in a letter addressed to the Vice Chancellor of LAUTECH by the NCC signalling the commencement of the construction.

The features of the centre to be constructed are Building infrastructure to accommodate 250 workstations (one unit), 250 computers and furniture (250 PCs and 250 Computer Desk and Chairs), Server Infrastructures (1Unit).

Other features are printers and scanners (one each), power peripherals, air conditioners (9 Unit ACs), 200KVA generating set (one unit), VSAT equipment (one unit), local area networks (LAN), VSAT equipment and one-year bandwidth subscription for internet access.
