The National Council for Women Societies (NCWS), Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Chapter, has officially announced the conduct of its upcoming Chapter Election, scheduled on September 25, 2025, at Art and Culture Complex, Area 10, Garki, Abuja
This landmark event marks a vital democratic process aimed at ushering in a new leadership cadre dedicated to championing the rights and development of women across the territory.
In a statement issued to journalists in Abuja yesterday, the President of the NCWS FCT Chapter, Hajia Hadiza Abdullahi Umar, speaking on behalf of the council, said the National Council for Women Societies (NCWS) is Nigeria’s premier umbrella organization that brings together women’s groups and associations across the country.
She emphasized that as Nigeria continues to embrace inclusive governance, the NCWS FCT reiterates its commitment to transparent, peaceful, and participatory elections that reflect the values of equity, representation, and progress for all women.
“All eligible and interested candidates are hereby invited to obtain nomination forms directly from the NCWS office located at the election venue,” she said.
Founded in 1958, the NCWS has consistently championed the cause of Nigerian women, advocating for gender equity, social justice, and inclusive national development.
The NCWS FCT also encourages full participation from its members and stakeholders across the territory to ensure a credible and widely accepted electoral outcome.
