A chieftain of the National Democratic Coalition (NDC) and House of Representatives aspirant for the AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency, Dr. Anthony Ezekwugo, has hailed the party’s decision to zone its presidential ticket to Southern Nigeria.

He stated this while congratulating the party leadership on what he described as a peaceful national convention.

In a statement, Ezekwugo commended the party’s National Leader, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson; National Chairman, Senator Cleopas Moses; and members of the National Working Committee (NWC) for conducting what he described as the most peaceful convention in Nigeria’s history.

He also prayed for wisdom and unity for the party leadership in steering the affairs of the party ahead of future political activities.

Meanwhile, the AMAC/Bwari federal constituency aspirant visited an IDP camp in Abuja, where he distributed welfare packages. He also visited a camp for persons with disabilities, where he donated wheelchairs and other relief materials within the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) and Bwari Area Council as part of his humanitarian support initiatives.

According to him, the intervention was aimed at supporting indigent students and easing the financial burden on parents and guardians.

He said: “I had to step in to support these students so that their future is not cut short by financial constraints. Education remains the strongest tool for empowerment.”

Ezekwugo also joined women and mothers in Bwari during activities marking Mother’s Day, where he urged them to raise children with strong moral values to curb social vices in society.

He added: “Mothers play a critical role in shaping society, and we must continue to support them in raising responsible children.”

He reaffirmed his commitment to humanitarian service and community development across the constituency.
