The managing director, Dr. Samuel Ogbuku, stated this yesterday while speaking to newsmen  after conducting an assessment tour of the 24-kilometre road.

Ogbuku was accompanied by the chairman of the NDDC Governing Board, Mr. Chiedu Ebie; the executive director, projects, Mr. Victor Antai and some members of the House of Representatives Committee on the NDDC.

He stated that with a bridge spanning 576m, the project was massive, stating that billions of naira had already been expended on it.

Ogbuku said the road would contribute to poverty reduction through positive contributions to the economic growth of the host communities and their neighbours.
