A member representing Rivers State on the board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Hon Tony Okocha, has described the verdict of the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT), which upheld the election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as victory for democracy and for all Nigerians.

This is as he called on the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labour Party (LP), Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, respectively, to accept the judgement of the tribunal in the spirit of sportsmanship and join hands with Tinubu to take Nigeria to the Promised Land.

Okocha, in a statement issued in Port Harcourt yesterday, said with this judgement perfectly delivered, the president can now concentrate on delivering the Renewed Hope Agenda to Nigerians.

He commended the PEPT judges for their bravery and courage in ensuring that impartial judgement is delivered, despite the series of threats, intimidation, and blackmail by the enemies of democracy in Nigeria.
